Residential Solutions Program

The Residential Solutions Program is an energy efficiency program designed to help residential customers understand and make energy efficiency improvements in their homes. The program provides customers with educational information about potential energy efficient upgrades and cash incentives for installing such upgrades in their home via partnering contractors. Customers wishing to learn about making their homes more energy efficient can schedule a walkthrough energy assessment at a discounted rate through partnering energy consultants.

Who Is Eligible?

All Entergy New Orleans residential customers living in Orleans Parish are eligible for this program.

All energy consultants, insulation, duct sealing, air infiltration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractors that serve Entergy New Orleans customers are eligible to participate in this program. Contractors that wish to participate must enter into a program partnering agreement that specifies the partnering contractor program eligibility and program requirements.

What Are The Program Benefits?

Entergy New Orleans offers its customers financial rebates to offset a portion of the home assessment and improvement costs. The rebate is shown as a discount of the total project cost on the invoice. The program provides a list of partnering contractors who have agreed to perform the work to the program’s Best Practice Standards and who can issue and accept the program rebates.

How Does The Program Work?

Customers can call into the Energy Efficiency Solutions Center and learn about the program and home improvement opportunities. An energy solutions representative, through conversation and questions about the home’s energy using systems, can direct the customer to the best energy efficiency solution based on their situation. The program trains and partners with contractors that are knowledgeable of energy efficient home improvements and able to deliver the assessment.

Customers may also contact program partnering contractors directly to learn about the program incentives and to schedule an assessment or a home improvement upgrade.

What Are The Incentives?

Entergy New Orleans offers cash incentive rebates for installing eligible energy efficiency home improvement measures. Incentives are based on $300 per peak demand kW saved. The upgrades must be performed by partnering contractors.

Incentives are eligible for the following energy efficiency upgrades:

  • Air Duct Improvements (Duct Sealing and Replacement)
  • Ceiling insulation
  • Wall Insulation
  • Home Sealing (Air Infiltration Reduction)
  • Electric Heating/Cooling system replacements (HVAC Replacements)

The program may add other eligible measure opportunities over time.

Funding is limited. Incentives are offered to Entergy New Orleans customers on a first-come, first-served basis while incentive funds last. Offerings are subject to change without notice.
