Natural Gas System Rebuild

• The company plans to replace approximately 130 miles of gas pipeline during the first phase with two contractors – A&L and Quanta – performing the vast majority of the work. Many areas of the city that fall under the plan currently mirror the sequence of areas targeted by the Unified New Orleans Plan.

• Some sections of the city initially targeted for phase one of the rebuild include Broadmoor, Central City, Gert Town, Hollygrove, Uptown, University and others.
