Natural Gas System Rebuild
My Neighborhood is Phase One: Will I be Without Gas Service?
• Customers will experience a service disruption for approximately an hour
while the new system is connected to their homes or businesses.
• Customers subject to the rebuild will be notified about the work schedule by
mail, door hangers or a visit by an Entergy representative.
• Areas that suffered repeat reliability issues last winter were the first to
receive the new high- pressure system where available, or were provided other
remedies. Customers who experience repeat reliability issues this winter will
have their issues addressed on a case-by-case basis.
• Entergy New Orleans hired outside contractors so it could focus its gas
operations resources on providing safe and reliable service to our customers,
maintaining the system and responding to customer calls as necessary. Entergy
New Orleans employees will manage the overall project by providing daily
oversight.
